I'm very fortunate to be invited by Lord Iveagh to pick elderflowers on his beautiful Elveden Estate. The first picking was a couple of weeks ago, and I will be returning tomorrow for an early morning session with gamekeeper Nick. I've been making some delicious jellies with the flowers - if all goes well they will be available at the Harrogate Fine Food Show and in the Elveden Courtyard shop later this month.
I am delighted that Old Rectory Preserves has been selected as regional finalist for Eastern England in the delicious. Produce Awards 2017. It is a real honour that our Hedgerow Harvest foraged preserve is considered to be amongst the very best food Britain has to offer. This year’s entries were judged by 27 well respected chefs, farmers and food writers – including Nick Nairn, Dan Lepard, Thane Price, Jane Baxter and Jenny Linford. The regional judging took place across ni
